In summer, temperatures average 75-80 degrees for a high and seldom dips below 40 for a low. Winter temperatures average 30-40 degrees for a high and 10-20 degrees for a low with mostly sunny skies. We average over 300 sunny days a year and with an average of 385 inches of snow we are often are skiing until July 4th.
Winter and Spring in Mammoth California
Mammoth Mountain is traditionally among the first ski areas to open and often operates until the Fourth of July. Emphasizing its unrestrained feel, Mammoth receives over 400 inches of snow annually with an average of 300 sunny days a year. There are 3,500 skiable acres to play on with a vertical drop of 3,100 feet and 150 named trails. There are 29 lifts in place, including two gondolas and two high-speed six-packs. Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center has 45 km of freshly-groomed trails that meander around Twin Lakes and the Lakes Basin, satisfying cross country ski enthusiasts of all abilities

Star Golf Course: California’s highest 18-hole course.
Open May 30 – Oct. 12, 2008 (conditions permitting). At 8,000 feet, Sierra Star is the highest course in California. Open to the public, comfortable, relaxed and enjoyable for golfers of all levels, it’s the only 18-hole resort golf course in Mammoth.
